Judy Day grew up in Southern California, attended college, and began her 25-year career teaching art and math in Burbank. Although she works in many mediums, teaching is where she found her love of watercolors. In 2009 she retired to Jackson and began painting more or less full time.
"My art is inspired by my backpacking trips into the Sierras, vacations around the world, majestic landscapes, historical sites and practically everything in my new neighborhood. You never know what will catch your eye and inspire you."
Judy has illustrated three children's educational workbooks, and earned numerous personal awards for teaching.
