Wendy grew up in rural Ohio, living next to the Maumee River and expressing her love of nature and animals through her art. When she packed up and moved to California in the late 1970s she found herself doing less art and focusing instead on the world of computers and careers.
After decades of working, Wendy has returned to creating art, only this time using it as a tool for personal reflection. Each painting has many layers with symbols and colors as she works with concepts such as "Peace" or "Freedom." She lets go of the outcome trusting the image in the painting to direct the process, receiving poems and messages along the way.
Wendy participates in local shows and hangs her work in several venues along with teaching classes and advocating art as a personal tool in her Pioneer studio.
