I grew up on Cape Cod in Massachusetts and have been living in Placerville, California, for the past 40 years. I create art from my home studio nestled near the El Dorado National Forest.
I stumbled upon fused glass art later in life. After spending decades in the telecommunications industry, it was a complete surprise when my creative side suddenly came alive.
I’ve been working with fused glass for over 14 years, drawing inspiration from my travels and the beauty of nature. My work highlights movement, functionality, and texture, and because each piece is handmade, every creation is truly one of a kind.
Fused glass is made by melting separate pieces of glass together in a kiln at very high temperatures, typically around 1400 degrees. The glass is often fired multiple times to achieve a perfect shape with smooth edges. This process results in pieces that are both beautiful and incredibly strong.
