Abstract artist Chelsea Tikotsky is the featured artist for the month of June at the Sutter Creek Gallery. Chelsea is a graduate of the California State University, San Francisco with a degree in Studio Art with an emphasis on painting. She has also studied art in Florence, Italy at the Accademia di Belle Arti and the California State University of Florence.
Chelsea medium is primarily oil but also works in watercolors. Her artist toolbox includes the painter knife and brush. Chelsea is inspired by the magical moments of nature and channels this into the free-flowing expression of her art. She infuses her work with positivity and the nostalgic moments in life. Chelsea’s work has been described as daring and courageous and displays a rich interplay of textures and bold colors.
