With a lifelong devotion to his craft, Chris Axe transforms the raw, ethereal landscapes of California into timeless visual narratives. A graduate of the prestigious Brooks Institute, Chris has mastered the delicate balance between fine art and outdoor photography.

His acclaimed portfolio has been featured in premier publications such as Popular Photography and Outdoor Photographer, while his commercial expertise has been sought out by global brands including Samsung, Ernst & Young, and The Weather Channel. Most recently, Chris authored Splendor of the Past, a detailed photographic exploration of more than 120 historic homes in Pacific Grove, California.

His work has earned widespread recognition, including:

  • Winning Outdoor Photographer magazine’s American Landscape Contest
  • Taking first place in the Nature category of the Popular Photography Reader Awards, which included his winning entry on the cover

Having recently relocated to the Sutter Creek area, Chris is now turning his lens toward the rich landscapes of Amador County, eager to explore and capture a brand-new region.
