Laurie Andreoni

Medium: Ceramics

Laurie Andreoni is a ceramic artist who started exploring this process at age 72 and specializes in functional pottery, small sculptures, luminaries and handcrafted masks. Working primarily with clay, her pieces explore form, expression and character through gracefully shaped surfaces and sculptural detail. Each work reflects a hands-on approach to the material, allowing the natural qualities of clay to guide the final form.

In 2025, Laurie received recognition at the Calaveras County Fair, winning three First Place ribbons and one Second Place ribbon for her ceramic work. These awards highlight their growing presence as an emerging ceramic artist.

You may find pieces that utilize carving, acrylic paint, alcohol inks, beadwork, leather or anything that gives her new inspiration. By incorporating additional media that she has studied over her lifetime, Laurie continues to experiment with clay as a medium for storytelling, expression, and imaginative form.
