Educated at CSU, Stanislaus, as an art major and bio minor, I developed a love for working in several different mediums (printing, acrylics, and sculpture). After college, I entered the education profession for 31 years and retired in 2005. I returned to the love of my life, art, in 2006, taking several silver smithing classes at a local college. I love making settings for semi-precious stones which I call “romancing the stone”. I solder sterling and pure silver, make Keum-boo, and fashion Precious Metal Clay (PMC) into works of art. For a period of 13 years, I imported pearls from Beijing including Tahitian, south sea, and freshwater pearls. I like to say that my pearl necklaces adorn some of the most influential necks in the world.
I have exhibited my work at local events and I am a proud member of the Amador County Artists Association.
