After more than 50 years as a Bay Area cinematographer, I pivoted a while back to fine art photography. Now, at the age of 88, I continue to pursue this passion from our home in Amador City.
Most of my Images start out as a group of photographs that I’ve taken. I reassemble them into a new, single whole. Some of these catch views and objects we frequently take for granted. Some simultaneously compress and expand time. Chance plays a large role.Several different labs print the final digital master to metal, or to paper, or to canvas.
Life is full of conflicting strands. My Images are a way to co-here a few of them.

- Graduated Dartmouth 1957
- Worked, studied, and lived in Beirut, Lebanon, Paris and Lacoste, France, Perugia and Rome, Italy, 1957-1967
- Professional cinematographer in the Bay Area and Los Angeles for 50+ years
- Lighting Instructor for film students at the San Francisco Academy of Art University for the last fourteen years before moving to Amador City in January 2019
- Married to Victoria Wise, Cook Book Author
