Sandy is a retired teacher so when it came to materials for her jewelry making, she was used to having a limited or nonexistent budget. Her creative talent led her to create unique, one-of-a-kind wearable pieces out of recycled objects such as silver plated trays, serving utensils and silverware.

Sandy also enjoys working with copper, as its rich warm color lends itself to nature-inspired pieces.

Sandy is mentored by Linda Ricci and Betty Egger. She has taken classes by known silversmiths Al Bolshazy and Aleris Hart. Many of Sandy’s pieces have won multiple awards in the Amador County Fair.
