Suzanne Brown is a self-taught artist working in layered, laser-cut wood relief sculpture—a contemporary approach that blends traditional craftsmanship with dimensional design. Her foundation in woodworking began early, evolving over more than 40 years through carpentry and home restoration projects across California and Central America.

Now focused on fine art, Suzanne creates multi-layered compositions that celebrate the natural beauty of wood. Each piece is thoughtfully designed, individually cut, and meticulously assembled by hand, allowing the grain, tone, and texture to guide the final form. Her sculptures offer a tactile, three-dimensional experience that cannot be fully captured in photographs, inviting viewers to engage with the work up close.

“I work from 5 am to at least 3pm every day in my shop. I am obsessed with this new art form!”
